What I Got For My 22nd Birthday

birthday donuts

It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes ago that I was running around my garden with chocolate caterpillar cake splurged across my face, in my hair and all over my clothes on my 5th birthday, but at the weekend when I turned 22, there was absolutely no caterpillar chocolate cake or running around the garden involved and it made me sad… growing up SUCKS!!!

I did however, get a lot of other Chocolate, so I suppose that kind of makes up for it, right?

So, what DID I get for my birthday? I’m gonna tell you, because it’s exciting stuff.

1| The Worlds Biggest Easter Egg – okay so it probably isn’t the worlds biggest, but it’s up there with it! There was so much of it I still haven’t managed to eat it all, even my nephews have been stealing chunks from it and it just isn’t going down!

2| Macbook Pro – okay so I’ve wanted a Macbook Pro my ENTIRE life, and my boyfriend Michael knew this, so what did he do? Went totally overboard despite saying we weren’t gonna be buying presents this year, and bought me this Macbook, upgraded it to a huge SSD, super-strong battery, an awesome film cover and then an IRON MAN vinyl sticker – the apple logo is the arc reactor… this is the best birthday present I’ve ever gotten, and I’m so in love with it – and the cutest thing of all was that his excuse for buying it was that he thought it might relight my fire and drive to blog again. He’s such a sweetheart! I love him almost as much as I love the Macbook.

3| Gold Watch – my dad bought me a gold watch, each year he goes for the more sentimental kind of presents like jewellery or keepsakes which I kinda like and I’ve been contemplating getting a watch for so long now but just never got round to it, so thanks Dad, I love it!

4| Perfume – perfume for me is a tricky one, being an asthmatic it’s hard to find perfume that’s just right and not too strong or sickly, but my sister somehow managed to find one that I like; I tell them every year NOT to buy me perfume, but she took the risk and I love it!

5| Superhero Pyjamas – anyone that knows me know I’m obsessed with superheroes, mostly the Avengers but I also love Batman, but IRON MAN is my all time favourite, I’m obsessed with Robert Downey JR, so my nephews told their mum they wanted to buy me some Iron Man Pyjamas, but she couldn’t find any so they chose these instead and they’re so comfy, I don’t wanna take them off!

6| Harry Potter Magical Creatures Colouring Book  – this one was clearly my nephews idea, and they were dying to know if I loved it, and of course I did because I love all things Harry Potter, AND it had some lovely illustrations inside of all of the wonderful creatures in the wizarding world.

I also got a whole lot of Chocolate, some adorable birthday cards from my nephews and went out for a lovely meal with Michael – all in all I had a fun birthday weekend, I’m just kinda sad that I’m getting older.
