World Nutella Day

World Nutella Day

One of the greatest inventions of man kind has to be Nutella. It was created by a man named Pietro Ferrero, he was a pastry maker in the 1940′s. At that time, there was a shortage of cocoa due to the rationing of World War II, so he decided to use hazelnuts to add substance to the spread and to extend their chocolate supply. How bloody genius is that?! Now, Nutella is the number 1 best selling chocolate spread worldwide.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of World Nutella Day, I thought I’d make a selection of Nutella desserts for my boyfriend for when he gets here tonight, woohoo!

UPDATE: I just went away from this post to make the Nutella cake for my boyfriend and I accidentally dipped my hair in Nutella and now it’s all sticky and won’t come out, I’m going to cry… helppppppp!!!

Fun Fact: Nutella is actually pronounced New-tell-uh and not Nuh-tell-ah!

Let us know what you’re doing for World Nutella Day in the comments! And happy Nutella Day to you all! 🙂
